June 18 08 – China - Shanghai Field report sudsoz OK - I am staying at the infamous Shanghai Hotel which is next street up from the Hilton. Basically, there are 2 options in Hong Kong. The first is to head for Mong Kok, which is a short subway (MTR) ride from the tourist areas of Nathan Road and Central. Shanghai is famous for its nightlife, but it's a questionable scene, catering more to expat guys picking up local girls. The watering holes are clustered in two areas.
The original nightlife strip was on Hengshan Road (Hengshan metro station), but it's looking a bit dated and seedy.
